Seeing patriotic in my everyday life.

Barbecues, small town parades & fireworks are the how many Americans celebrate our Independence Day & all of this makes me smile but for me its all about the red white & blue. Well the red & blue. No matter our flag or everyday life I do have a penchant for the combo, so as I head north for Sedona with my parents for a star spangled respite I gift those in my country & those in other lands, some of my favorite ways to embrace red & blue.

A red, white & blue room from a favorite Aussie, Anna at Absolutely Beautiful Things.

May everyone have a weekend that makes them feel as good as this July 4th, 2005 with Grant & Hailey made me feel!!!! Look how little they are... time flies!!! Love to all!!!

Alicia these are wonderful. Not the usual representation of red and blue. Something a little different. The little cottage with the red door is beckoning me. As is Anna's room and also the cute litte oars over the bed. And how happy you look with those too little cuties. I hope you have a great weekend full of love, happiness and a little crazy fun! x Julie

What an absolutely divine collection of red, white, and blue. You are right, the color combination is wonderful all year long. I love putting flags along our pasture fences, hanging the swags I have made for this celebration, and finding ways of incorporating it into food!
Have a wonderful holiday my friend~ hugs to you!

Alicia,
I smiled when I saw the sign for Zehnder’s chicken dinners! You assembled such an interesting combination of red, white & blue. It really showcases how diverse and wonderful our country is, and I absolutely love that sweet flower covered arbor in the second photo.

Great selection of photos, Alicia. I especially liked the Zehnder's sign, it brings back great memories. I grew up in MI, so we'd make a yearly pilgrimage to Zehnders and Frankenmuth. Do you remember their "Stollen" bread?

You captured the feeling of an old-fashioned 4th of July perfectly. I felt like I was in everyone one of those pictures and was on vacation. Lovely.

These images make me so sad that I missed celebrating the 4th this year (quite unsurprisingly, the Brits are reluctant to even MENTION it).

Thanks for the gorgeous pictures to brighten a VERY wet Irish evening.
