Poetry & restoration

Give me a caftan, sunscreen, a pitcher of white sangria, not to mention my copy of ' Savage Beauty" a bio of Edna St Vincent Millay's debaucherous life & this is where I'll be all tomorrow.
Such balmy breezes will lovingly caress away the aches from shopping with my mother all day at the glamourous destination regarded as Ikea. Mom had never been & if only for those saucy cinnamon rolls at $1.00 each, she shall return again.
Seriously, my planned post will have to wait a day but until relax & restore your lives with a piece my mom loves about the moment before your lips meet your loves....

a giggle, then gravity gone
oh my, can this be happening, no don't answer
catch my string, follow
up, up, up beyond the words & float
tickle, tickle, the shadows I make
down, down, down below on rooftops
cityscapes
sunshine catches my eyes, twinkling
boundless, possible this love, me groundless
faster, faster, fantastic, run then leap within this wind
sail, traipse, play, laugh with me
close, close to the striking moment
fragile, a wish, granted your lips, then I'm dissolving

Completely off the subject of Ikea or poetry--and this post, but...did I tell you that I think the china shown in the post below is Edme by Wedgwood. It may have decoration in the center--can't tell for the napkin. If it does, it could be any number of Wedgwood patterns. I'm afraid I'm a china fanatic.

This photo is so relaxing. Do you have enough sangria to share? I'm there!

Hello Alicia,
Oooh.........I love that Beach Retreat! Wouldn't that be the most perfect spot to spend the whole summer, and it would be the whole summer, I would never leave it. And you have me thinking I should read the book you mentioned. Share your writing....you have an audience that would love to read it!

You are too funny!
I'm lovin' that cabana! I don't even feel right calling it a cabana though. It's WAY to gorgeous for that word!
